A brutal assault occurred in the Onslow county school system on Thursday. A student attending Swansboro High School was stabbed in the face and a school official was also assaulted.

According to Onslow County Sheriffs Captain Rick Sutherland the injuries the brutal assault occurred at the Swansboro High school.

The Swansboro High School resource officer was called in to investigate the stabbing and multiple assaults that happened on a school bus and at the high school.

The Onslow County Sheriffs department has charged the 15 year old with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and assault on a government official.

County authorities say the 15 year old stabbed a Swansboro High student in the face and then assaulted a school official who was trying to intervene.

As of this writing there is no word on the condition of that student.
