An investigation is underway in Monroe, North Carolina in regards to a fiery head-on collision between two SUV’s that killed two people on the highway U.S. 74 just east of Charlotte.

Authorities with the Highway Patrol have reported that the wreck happened just before 11 P.M. Tuesday. The crash was so severe and the accident so fiery that the officers at the scene had to use vehicle identification numbers while attempting to try and determine who was actually driving. A spokesperson for the Highway Patrol said the names of the victims have not yet been released.

It is always sad to hear when someone dies from a car crash. Usually, the victim is out doing some normal daily routine when tragedy strikes. As a personal injury lawyer I hear about more injuries and deaths due to vehicle accidents than most people would. That is why I always urge those that I know to keep their mind sharp while driving along their routine commute. Always adhere to a defensive stance when driving; keeping aware on even the most mundane of roads.
