In a very tragic accident that happened in Hudson, N.C. took the lives of a 15 year-old twin girl and her grandmother. Both twin sisters, Kara and Cressinda Chandler and 59 year-old Karen Smith were riding in the golf cart together. They were trying to cross a road when a car hit their golf cart. Sadly both Kara Chandler and Karen Smith died at the scene. Cressinda Chandler was taken to Carolina’s Medical Center and was later released. N.C. Highway Trooper T.C. Williams said that it appeared that the driver of the golf cart did not see the oncoming vehicle which was driven by 19 year-old Kevin Mays. According to the report by WAVY.com it is unclear if Mays suffered any injuries. It is also unclear if the golf cart was street legal.
