20 year-old Tyler Stasko is being charged with two counts of second degree murder for his actions on April 4, 2009. Stasko was racing against another car at the intersection of York Road and Riverpointe Road in Charlotte, North Carolina when he crashed into Dr. Cynthia Furr’s car. Dr. Furr was driving with her two-year old daughter.

Dr. Furr and her daughter died and Stasko and two other passengers were taken to Carolina’s Medical Center. Stasko’s passengers 11 year-old Rex Thomas, was listed in good condition, and 13 year-old Hunter Hold, was listed in critical condition. Stasko has been released from CMC.
