Bertie County Police say that King, a 25 year old volunteer fireman from Bertie County, North Carolina (NC), was responding to a car accident in Powellsville, North Carolina (NC) Monday morning when a vehicle passing by slid on a patch of ice and crashed into him. Witnesses tell us both of his legs were severed.
