Two of the passengers were thrown from the car. There were a total of seven people in the vehicle. Three people died and three were injured.

The driver was charged with three counts of aggravated felony death by motor vehicle, three counts of aggravated serious injury by motor vehicle and driving while impaired.
He is being held on $750,000 bond.

Our View

Our North Carolina drunk driving attorneys have no patience with reckless drunk drivers. That is the reason that we only represent the victims of drunk drivers and their grieving families. We never represent drunk drivers. Anyone who is convicted of drunk driving and hurts another person deserves to be punished severely. Not only should they have to do jail time, get fined and lose their license. In many cases, these convicted criminals should be sued in civil court for damages. In the above case, three people died, and each of them could file a wrongful death lawsuit and recover damages.

Even if the deceased were friends with the drunk driver, their families should not hesitate to file suit and tap any available insurance policies to obtain compensation for their pain and suffering.
