According to authorities at the scene the Wayne County man is dead after a fire ripped through his home Thursday morning in Dudley, North Carolina (NC).Dudley is an unincorporated town in Wayne County, North Carolina, about 9 miles south from Goldsboro.

A Dudley man dies in a house fire as rescuers arrive too late as the structure was immediately engulfed in flames.

Police reports indicate that three people were inside the home on Camp Trailee Road when first responders arrived at the house. They received the call at approximately 5:35a.m.Thursday morning, April 9th.

Sheriff Deputies say Dennis Anderson, Jr. wasn’t able to get out of the home quick enough and died inside the burning building. The victim’s body was discovered by the firefighters.

There were firefighters from three volunteer departments that fought the blaze. Presently, there is no indication on exactly what caused this deadly fire.

The deadly fire is currently being researched by The State Bureau of Investigation to make a determination on the exact nature of the house fire.
