A 24 year old musician from St. Helena Island, South Carolina was on his way home from a show and was killed by an allegedly impaired driver who was going the wrong way on the road.
The man died of blunt force trauma at the scene of the crash on Trash Parkway near Whale Branch Middle School, Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen stated in late July.
The allegedly impaired driver is from Myrtle Beach and she allegedly turned onto the wrong side of Trask Parkway in St. Helena Island. She then slammed into the man’s vehicle head on, according to law enforcement.
The 45 year old woman faces a felony DUI charge and also leaving the scene on an accident. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, as was her passenger.
