A woman from Raeford, North Carolina is facing charges after she hit and killed a pedestrian early on Thanksgiving day.
The local police stated that a 20 year old male was crossing the street when he was hit by the woman, who allegedly was drunk. She fled the scene of the crash.
The police added that his family found the man’s body in a ditch two hours after the fatal, North Carolina DWI crash. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The woman has been charged with felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired, driving left of center, having an expired registration and leaving the scene of an accident. She is being held on a $200,000 bond. The woman also filed a false police after the crash.
